The Association
An independent organisation dedicated to sustainable digital development
The ICDSC (International Committee for Digital Sustainability Certification) is an association established to support and update the assessment standards used to evaluate organisations’ maturity in sustainable IT.
As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, the ICDSC operates in the public interest, with the aim of developing a reliable and transparent reference framework to support the transition towards more responsible digital practices.
Why an association?
To ensure the credibility, transparency and independence of the framework, the initiative has been launched by Agence LUCIE in partnership with the Institut du Numérique Responsable and France IT, with support from ADEME, the CNRS and INRIA. This collective model transcends individual interests and brings together international stakeholders.
The association’s mission
To develop and refine the international IDSR standard, enabling organisations to assess and improve their digital practices.
A collaborative approach
The IDSR standard is the result of a collaborative effort involving experts, certification organizations, businesses and institutions. This pluralistic approach ensures the scientific rigour, methodological consistency and legitimacy of the framework.
This approach enables:
- The pooling of expertise across digital technology and CSR
- The underpinning of the methodology with scientific and operational research
- The integration of a variety of perspectives from different stakeholders
- The assurance of lasting legitimacy amongst institutions and organisations
